关于留学人员地位和作用的若干思考

本文在对中国留学生地位与作用进行简要回顾的基础上 ,结合对优秀归国留学人员进行的统计、分析 ,对改革开放以来的归国留学人员在中国未来政治生活中将扮演的角色、留学人员回国和居留海外所发挥的不同作用 ,以及留学人员的作用将随着中国现代化的发展而渐趋缩小的趋势等问题进行了论述和探讨 ,以期对改革开放以来中国大陆留学人员的地位和作用有一定的认识。

On the status and role of returned Chinese overseas students

Based on statistical data on the returned Chinese scholar elites, this paper provides a brief review on the status and role of Chinese overseas students in Chinese history. In addition, the author intends to explore some major themes on the subject, such as the impact of the returned Chinese scholars on Chinese politics in the future, the different roles they would play either by returning to China or staying abroad. The author argues that their influence will become less and less with the development of China's economy.
