毛泽东与人民政协事业

毛泽东在指导人民政协事业的创建和发展方面做出了重要贡献:创立了人民政协,并将人民政协作为民主政治的象征,推动了中国民主政治的发展,对“文化大革命”前特别是建国初期新中国的各项工作发挥了不可替代的重要的推动作用。尽管人民政协事业在“文化大革命”期间遭受挫折,人民政协这种发扬民主的形式遭到破坏,但毛泽东坚持将人民政协保留了下来,开启了我国社会主义政治文明建设的先河。

Mao Zedong and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference

Mao Zedong contributed a lot to the founding and development of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He organized the CPPCC and made it a sym- bol of democracy. Under the guidance of Mao Zedong the CPPCC acted as a driving force for demo-cratic politics in China and played an irreplaceable and important role in various fields of work before the "Cultural Revolution,"especially in the early years of New China. The system of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference suffered setbacks and the democratic form embodied by the CPPCC was jeopardized during the "Cultural Revolution,"but Mao Zedong managed to preserve the system of the CPPCC, which had broken a path for the construction of socialist political civiliza-tion in China.
