五尺道即石牛道考

古往今来的学者都认为五尺道是秦始皇时期开凿的川南入滇道路。本文通过深入分析相关历史文献资料后指出,无论是五尺道的开凿时间还是道路宽度,都完全不能支持这样的说法;五尺道应为秦始皇之前110余年的秦惠文王时期由古蜀国人凿通的汉中入蜀道路,也就是汉以降所称的"石牛道"、"金牛道"。川、滇二省相关的考古发掘资料,也能为本文的观点提供有力的支持。本文结论可使西南古史研究中的某些谜题得到科学、合理的解释。

On Wuchi Road Being Namely Shiniu Road

Since ancient times,all scholars had reached complete identity of views that " Wuchi Road" was a road opened between southern Sichuan and Yunnan while Qinshihuang(B.C.221~B.C.210),the first Emperor of Qin Dynasty,was in chair.This paper,in accordance with some analyses of historical documents,holding that their views could not be supported by open-time and width of the Wuchi Road.The road should be opened by Shu during the King Qinhuiwen(B.C.337~B.C.331) period,and then became a major passageway between Hanzhong and Chengdu.In fact,the road was named "Shiniu Road","Jinniu Road"(金牛道).
