On the Traditional Factors and the Customs of Japanese Marriage and Funeral in Records of Japan

Records of Japan can be regarded as the most outstanding one among the works which studied Japan in the late Qing Dynasty. The book is rich in content, in which the content of Japanese weddings and funerals is very exhaustive. This dissertation, based on the customs of Japanese marriage and funeral recorded in Records of Japan, explores the traditional factors and the customs of Japanese marriage and ftmeral and the different tracks of folkways and social development＇of other aspects reflected in them.
