| Abstract: | The reforms initiated in the former Soviet Union and socialist countries in East Europe in the early 1950s amounted to nothing but patchwork within the framework of the original model. It was DENG Xiao-ping of China who questioned the validity of the former conception of socialism and successfully led the transformation of socialist model. With the reforms in China started by him the socialist history after the Second World War entered a new stage of development. |
